Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing parkatsea.com, seatacpark.com, or any subdomain, booking parking, or using our APIs, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be 18+ and have legal capacity.

2. Who we are

SeaTacPark (“we”, “us”) is an offsite airport parking marketplace for Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). We list allotment from direct lot partners within 2 miles of SEA (MasterPark, WallyPark, etc.) and partner inventory from affiliate programs (ParkON, AirportParkingReservations.com via CJ Affiliate ID 8013741, Way.com, SpotHero via Impact/CJ). Domain parkatsea.com canonical, DNS Porkbun, hosting Vercel, payments Stripe, email via Resend bookings@notify.parkatsea.com.

3. How it works

  1. Search: you select entry/exit dates, we check inventory table (MIN allotment - COUNT bookings where status not cancelled/expired/payment_failed). We also query similar sites (Link Mode) and merge.
  2. Price: `subtotal = per-day rate × days` after pricing rules (weekend +25%, summer +20%, etc.), plus `$6.99 airport fee + $2.00 service fee`, minus promo discount (e.g., SAVE20). See checkout breakdown.
  3. Hold: booking inserted with `status=pending_payment`, `qr=SEA-LOT-TIMESTAMP` (e.g., SEA-1-1234567890), hold 30 minutes.
  4. Payment: Stripe Checkout hosted (Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay) in USD. We are Merchant of Record. Stripe is payment processor, card data never touches our servers (SAQ-A).
  5. Confirm: webhook `checkout.session.completed` → `status=confirmed` → email QR + receipt via Resend.
  6. Entry: show QR at lot office/shuttle pickup. Operator scans. Overstay charged per extra day at lot desk.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate email, license plate (optional), entry/exit times in PST.
  • Arrive 30 min before desired shuttle, allow 6-14 min shuttle per lot.
  • Keep QR private, one vehicle per booking, no transfer unless lot allows.
  • Vehicle must be street-legal, insured, no oversized without booking extra.
  • Respect lot rules (no smoking, speed 5mph).

5. Direct vs Affiliate (On-Site)

Direct allotment: we hold allotment (e.g., 50 spots/day), we are responsible for confirmation, you get QR from us, refund handled by us via Stripe.

Partner / Affiliate: lots marked Partner · ParkON / APR / Way / SpotHero are aggregated from similar sites via /api/search?include_external=true. All bookings now happen on-site – you click Book Now, pay via Stripe on parkatsea.com, get QR SEA-... from us. We store affiliate metadata as source_type=affiliate_direct and handle shuttle. Previously Link Mode logged to affiliate_clicks and opened deep-link with CJ PID 8013741 – now deprecated, all transactions Merchant of Record via Stripe.

6. Payments, fees, taxes

  • Currency USD, prices per day, total = (subtotal - discount) + $6.99 airport fee + $2.00 service fee.
  • Stripe processing fee 2.9% + 30¢ included in our commission, not extra to you.
  • No hidden fees. What you see at Checkout is what you pay. Lot may charge extra for oversize/EV if not disclosed — disputed via support.
  • We do not store card numbers, only `stripe_session_id`, `payment_intent`, `stripe_payment_status` in bookings table.
  • Receipt emailed + available at `/account?email=`.

7. Cancellations and refunds

See full Refund Policy. Summary: free cancel until 2 hours before entry for direct lots, full refund via Stripe 5-10 business days. Within 2h or no-show, no refund unless lot operator approves. Partner lots follow partner policy.

8. Affiliate disclosure (FTC)

We earn commission when you click partner links and book. This does NOT increase your price. Partners: ParkON, AirportParkingReservations.com (CJ merchant 3102643, our PID 8013741), Way.com, SpotHero (Impact + CJ). We log clicks for attribution via `/api/affiliate/click`. We disclose Partner badge on listings and deep-link opens with utm_source=seatacpark + CJ tracking.

9. Intellectual property

Site content, logo, copy, pricing engine, map integration © SeaTacPark. Lots photos via Unsplash/license. Leaflet + Carto tiles attribution required. You may not scrape beyond normal browsing, use bots to bypass rate limits (60/min search, 10/min book) per `middleware.ts`.

10. Warranties and liability

Lots are independent operators. We provide allotment info as-is, shuttle times estimates. We are not liable for vehicle damage/theft (per lot waiver), flight delays, weather, traffic. Max liability = amount you paid. No consequential damages. Lot damage claims direct with lot operator.

11. Prohibited uses

  • Trademark bidding "SeaTacPark", "ParkAtSEA", "ParkON" etc in paid search without approval.
  • Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, iframe checkout (per affiliate programs).
  • Fraud, chargeback abuse, fake bookings.

12. Disputes

Governing law Washington State, King County. Contact support first, we try to resolve in 48h. Then small claims or arbitration. For Stripe disputes, provide booking email + QR.

13. Changes

We may update Terms, will post new effective date. Continued use after change = acceptance. Material changes emailed to `operator@` list if any.
